Many aspects of my blog, Cultural Marxism in America Today, are archived and
will be of value in understanding the toxic, insidious nature of Marxist ideology
and how it has successfully permeated America. This blog is different however,
because it includes a list of 45 Communist Goals for taking over America read
into the Congressional Record on Jan. 10, 1963, by Florida Congressman Albert
S. Herlong Jr. The list was excerpted from renowned researcher Dr. Cleon
Skousen’s book “The Naked Communist” written in 1958.

Incredibly, the majority of goals set forth therein are manifest throughout America
today, while history and events during the past 56 years have rendered some moot
or irrelevant. These goals are gravely serious and have adversely affected the
country. They are well worth reading and considering to better understand and
appreciate the state of America today relative to the influence of Marxist
ideology. The condition of our great country today is a direct result of Cultural
Marxists successfully propagating their ideology, astutely using behavioral
psychology, and executing well-conceived strategies.

Prior to setting forth and commenting on the Communist’s Goals let me briefly
discuss Cultural Marxism, its ideology, and ultimate goal relative to the West.

Modern day Marxists refer to themselves as Multiculturalists and Progressives.
Both terms are misleading euphemisms for Cultural Marxism, which replaced
Economic Marxism, and are used to conceal its true ideology. However, they are
Marxists nonetheless. Cultural Marxists hate the West and have been relentless in
achieving their goal to destroy its Culture, Traditions, and Christianity since they
were founded in the early1920s. Their focus turned to America in the early 1930s
with the onset of Hitler’s rise to power. Interestingly, while their methodologies
and goal have not changed over time, they have held steadfast in determination
and made significant progress towards its achievement.

A perfect example is the condition of America today, courtesy of Obama and his
ilk of Cultural Marxist acolytes propagating their “hate America” ideology. This
is clearly evinced by their overt disdain for the country, its Constitution and
judicial system, endless and wide spread corruption, amoral pathological lying,
and an abundance of zealous enablers.

Communism is the practical implementation of Marxism. For the purpose of
simplicity herein Marxism, Cultural Marxism, and Communism are considered
the same so the terms will be used interchangeably. I have made italicized
comments after each goal to relate it to relatively modern times, and take full
ownership of them.

The 45 Goals For Taking Over The West

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war. Achieved.
Presidents of both parties have routinely supported U.N. measures subjecting
sovereign power of the US to the U.N.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
Achieved. Obama has systematically decreased the number of US nuclear
warheads, purged ranking Generals, restricted combat engagement, and reduced
troops while our enemies, e.g., Iran, continue expanding their capabilities.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the United States would be a
demonstration of moral strength. Achieved. Obama consistently apologizes for
America’s strengths, particularly to our and enemies, and actively works to
undermine them under the guise of morality.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and
regardless of whether or not items could be used for war. Achieved.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellite governments
supporting Communist Russia’s agenda that embrace totalitarian regimes.
Achieved.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
Achieved. In 1958 this was limited to Communist domination, but Obama has
significantly expanded its scope to include Radical Islamic domination, e.g., Al
Qaeda, Taliban, Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, and a host of other radical anti-
American groups are included.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N. Achieved
in 1971

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s
promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision
of the U.N. Achieved in 1961 and now moot.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has
agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress. Conference is
ongoing and is now concerned with nuclear tests.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N. Partially
achieved: Belarus and Ukraine were Soviet satellites until becoming independent
in 1991.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten,
demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent
armed forces. Promotion achieved.

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party. Achieved. The long
tentacles of Marxism, under the name of Progressivism or Multiculturalism, are
welcomed and dominant throughout US today. The Marxist ideology is especially
pervasive in academia, the media, the judiciary, government, military, law
enforcement, major corporations, and now sadly, in professional sports.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths. Mostly achieved. The Pledge of Allegiance,
American Flag, and many other symbols unique to our country have
systematically been degraded, attacked, and often removed from schools, Federal
and State facilities, and community government events.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office. Achieved. The world
has access via the USPTO web site.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States. Mostly
achieved. The Democratic Party ideals and methods of achieving them are
primarily Marxist in nature, albeit they call themselves Progressives and
Multiculturalists. A classic example is demonizing political opponents and calling
them “racist” is the slur du jour.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by
claiming their activities violate civil rights. Achieved. This trite drill is all too
familiar. It’s always based on race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation as
being the alleged offended groups who are useful idiots for Democrats.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them to propagate Marxist ideology and
propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the
party line in textbooks. Achieved. NEA is insidious here; Common Core is total
Marxism; Marxism is dominant in faculties, students, and studies - albeit
innocuously disguised as inclusion, tolerance, diversity, or other such Marxist buzz-word -
throughout academia, particularly elite schools.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers. Achieved. See 17.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations
that are under Communist attack. Achieved. Student rebellions and riots of the 60s
were initiated and led my Herbert Marcuse, noted professor and one of the
founders of Cultural Marxism. He coined the phrase “make love not war”. Since
the rebellions were Marxist induced they might have had an ancillary connection
diverting attention from Communist organizations being investigated.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing,
and policy-making positions. Achieved. Three major networks, their cable
affiliates, CNN, to name a few, are blatant with their Marxist views and
techniques. They avail themselves of a significant tenet of Marxism by demonizing
anyone with whom they disagree, the truth notwithstanding. Democrats are hailed
as Gods while GOP are demonized as Satan incarnate.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures. Achieved.
Marxism is more dominant in the media than in any other industry, period. The
significance here is their broad reach to vast audiences facilitates the
dissemination of any desired information and message, the veracity
notwithstanding. Today this capability is exponentially expanded with the
Internet.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic
expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good
sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and
meaningless forms.” Achieved. Simply view todays most hyped Sculptures and
then decide.

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote
ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.” Achieved. A glaring example was NYC’s
Metropolitan Museum of Art, and other noted galleries, hosted photographer
Andreas Serrano’s “Piss Christ”, a photograph of a crucifix immersed in a jar of
his urine. This was praised as art. Decide for yourself.

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a
violation of free speech and free press. Achieved. It’s fair to say that virtually
nothing is considered as being obscene today.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and
obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
Achieved. Same as 24 with the vast power and reach of the media and Internet.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, and
healthy”. Achieved. The major facilitator of this goal has been and continues to
be the heavily Marxist media, specifically film and television. Their broad reach
to vast audiences enables them to easily deliver any desired message to the
masses. Today White males are portraying idiots, drunks, flunkies, womanizers,
etc., and being made to look foolish with increasing frequency. Males are being
emasculated: Effeminate males who could not frighten a flea and belong in a tutu
have replaced the traditional rugged male historically portrayed by John Wayne,
Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery, etc. At the same time females are taking the
traditional “tough guy” role while the White male is the foil.

The frequency with which homosexuality is being portrayed as normal and
heterosexuality as abnormal is rapidly increasing. Gay couples and gay parents
are lauded as being remarkable. Gays who “come out of the closet”, particularly
notables, are treated as heroes and heroines simply because they announced their
sexual orientation.

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion.
Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity that does not
need a “religious crutch.” Achieved. Marxists have discredited and changed the
Bible to fit their desired end through deconstruction. Likewise, they have
basically disavowed or deemed God evil – see the film Noah.

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the
ground that it violates the principal of “separation of church and state.” Achieved.
The Marxist oriented ACLU and various atheist groups have succeeded here to a
great extent. This goal has also been broadened to include and has met with
significant success in academia, government, and corporate America.
Interestingly, the US Constitution does not contain a clause separating Church
and State, but Marxist jurists have ignored that trivial matter in lieu of legislating
from the bench.

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned,
out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a
worldwide basis. Achieved. The obvious success here is that Obama overtly
ignores and disrespects the Constitution in its entirety on a consistent “in your
face” basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats
who had no concern for the “common man.” Achieved. Through Marxist
deconstruction they’re deemed to be White villains responsible for the ills of all
minority groups, particularly Blacks.

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of
American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.”
Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
Achieved. Marxist revisionism & deconstruction of American history and culture
throughout academia, including pre elementary school and advanced graduate
studies, have been extremely successful.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of
the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics,
etc. Achieved. Past presidents, e.g., FDR, and LBJ, did not shy away from this.
Obama, however, has taken it to the stratosphere with a myriad of programs
centralized in his administration and run by his self appointed radical Marxist
pals called “czars”. Their exact functions are fuzzy and they are only accountable
to Obama.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures that interfere with the operation of the
Communist apparatus. Achievement ongoing. Obama consistently uses Executive
Orders that completely bypass Congress as well as the checks and balances set
forth in the Constitution to implement his Marxist agenda.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities. Achieved in
1975.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI. Cannot attribute blame for the
various agency scandals and resignations by FBI Directors.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions. Achieved. SEIU perfectly
exemplifies success in this endeavor with its Communist slogan “Workers of the
World Unite”. Obama stated that his presidency backed the SEIU, and they have
evinced their appreciation with votes, money, and the use of thugs when violence
was required.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business. Achieved. Cultural Marxists
dominate executive positions at Fortune 500 companies.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat
all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists
can understand or treat. Achieved. A glaring example: Obama has removed
immigration jurisdiction from state and local police forces and vested it in ICE.
As a result police officers can neither request ID nor arrest a known illegal alien
because they lack jurisdiction. ICE is a farce because, per Obama, it rarely
arrests and deports illegal aliens for any type of crime.

As to behavioral/psychiatric disorder defenses that are commonplace today, every
criminal claims to be a distraught victim of some sort of abuse and Marxist jurists
go easy on them by recommending government funded medical help in lieu of
incarceration where they belong.

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of
gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals. No comment.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy
divorce. Achieved to a great extent. The founding Cultural Marxists despised the
inherent values of the contemporary patriarchal family and its destruction was a
priority. Means of destruction included: feminize the traditional family with single
and homosexual mothers; introduce radical sex education that taught family
morals and monogamy were archaic and should be replaced with unrestrained
love and sexual intercourse; urge children to ridicule, disrespect, and ignore
parental authority. The foregoing is occurring today.

I think we live in a “throw away” society today and doubt that there’s much
question regarding the prevalence of promiscuity and ease of divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of
parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to
suppressive influence of parents. Achieved to a great extent. Children are
typically being reared at home. However, they are being indoctrinated with
Marxist ideology, particularly politically correct inclusion and tolerance, aka
“sensitivity training”, at every level of education. Along with such indoctrination
they learn that the ills of all ethnic minorities, women, homosexuals, and those
claiming to be transgender are attributable to evil White males. White children
are made to feel guilty about the alleged acts of ancestors and provided with a
path to cleanse their souls.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of
the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up
and use united force to solve economic, political or social problems. Achieved.
The American Revolution is cited as the standard for violence and insurrection.
Perfect examples of success here are the Marxist inspired and led 60’s student
rebellions against the establishment, SDS, Black Panthers, and a host of other
violent activist student groups. More recently, innumerable ethnic based activist
groups e.g., CAIR, Blacks, Indians, “Occupy movements”, etc., serve the same
purpose and are made up of the same ilk of people. Obama has consistently
supported such movements throughout his life and continues to embolden these
groups.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for
self-government. No comment here.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal. Achieved. The U.S. gave control of the
Panama Canal to the corrupt Panamanian government in 1999. Panama then
signed a 50-year lease for two ports at each end of the Canal with a Hong Kong
company run by Li Ka-shing, who is closely associated with the Beijing regime.
This gave China’s Communist Party control of the Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the
World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World
Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike. This is a work in progress
strongly supported by Obama who wants to cede jurisdiction of America and its
citizens to the World Court. The World Court consists primarily of Marxists.

Please bear with my following reiteration, but I think it to be important. In the
early 1920s the Cultural Marxist’s goal was to destroy Western culture, traditions,
and Christianity. They astutely developed and implemented a strategy calling for
political power to be taken only as the final step after persevering a long, patient
march through the every institution that could influence Western culture. Included
therein were academia, the media, major companies, and churches. Their focus
turned to America in the early 1930s and remains here today.

America is experiencing the results of that long, patient march the founding
Cultural Marists envisioned, and with their scores of acolytes, have made through
every entity influencing her culture, traditions, religion, and politics. Their
progress has been significantly facilitated and accelerated through using the
Internet’s power. I doubt that it’s over.
